I sent an email to CS. The quick response suggested that only the black straps now have studs. So, I sent an email to Chris and await his response.

The Pilot I wanted had the studs. The images are on the site. Yes, the actual order small image does not have studs. Confusing. I want studs. The site should have been updated with the new images for all the images or at least a note on the order image noting the changes.

The CS at CW is legendary. Hope this is not a glitch. Stay tuned.

And yes, I mention this during the unboxing video -- I was seeing the watch for the first time.

Cheers, a

Chris emailed me. He's finding a studded strap and shipping it to me.

And once again the legendary Christopher Ward Customer Service wins through. :cuinlove:

That said, the rest of us are now jealous. :schockiert: I, like downer, want a free second strap so I can choose between the casual studded version and the more formal look!

Can't be better than that. Let us know how the straps compare.

Let's be honest Audiophilia ordered the watch with the studs and was sent the wrong strap.
He had to send an email to get this corrected and now will be sent the Correct strap if one can be found and he will then have to change it himself. It's hardly ground breaking customer service and it's been inconvenient at best and would have been very annoying if it was a present.

Good news! Someone who is prepared to accept the situation with good grace and move on. Nice to hear!

Concerning the toughness of the crowd, it's not all of us.. :D

I have an amazingly generous and beautiful wife! I'm a lucky guy! Not sure how I ever snagged her. Ever since I bought her a Kindle, she says yes to all purchases! LOL

The C8 is many things, but 'formal' isn't one of them. ;)

Just ordered a Malvern auto, sliver/black dial/stainless bracelet. That'll do formal just fine.

Sadly I have to confess I quite enjoyed your video of the opening ceremony - thanks for troubling to do it!

Studded or not it looks great :D

I think you will find that the forum disagrees:

Strangely, despite being at work today (and hence normally going for a more formal look) I am in C8 mode today. Mind you, I can *almost* pull off this look with a jacket and tie... Or so I keep telling myself.
[Could just be my job, though...]

Heh.

Offtopic: So she likes the Kindle? Is it the Kindle 2, or did you buy the large one for her? I'm about to buy one, since a few days it's available in The Netherlands also! I'm also looking at the Sony Reader but I think I like the Kindle better...
