I think that collection is fantastic.

I'm new to this forum so i might have missed something, but why do you have so many CW watches? Any particular reason? And do you have similar size collections of other brands? If you have a similar collection of patek philippes for example that would be cool. Could you do us some photos of those too?

Thank you. No Patek Philippe has entered my collection as of yet. CWL watches make up the largest single brand of my collection. The majority of my collection, aside from CWL, is of vintage watches including pocket watches. I think that Thomas Russell watches would be the next most of a single brand. My collection is quite eclectic and consists of character, rock, wood, aluminum, mother of pearl, novelty, direct read and jump hour watches, to mention a few. My oldest watch dates back to 1860. I also have a modest collection of antique clocks as well.

Thanks. As for the C80, you may have to compete with Mortis. Rumor has it he is looking for one.

That's just left me feeling very envious. Great collection. Has Chris ever asked to buy any back? It must be relief for him to know that any deleted models might be able to be bought back for his vault if ever you could part with one.

Wow, amazing collection. Thanks for being so dedicated to this forum and the CW brand.

Question: When one has a collection like this, how many autos are on winders, keeping time and ready to wear? Or do you often just pick them up, couple of quick winds, set the time and go.

I currently have winders for up to 10 watches. As I do not have a set rotation for wearing the watches the winders are used mostly for exercising the unworn pieces on a semi-regular basis. Over the course of a couple of months I try to wind all the manuals and get the autos on the winders for a day or so. Of course this leads me to usually winding the chosen watch(s) of the day. :)

Thanks for sharing, so I assume that while it doesn’t hurt a watch’s movement to be idle, it is best to get them moving periodically?

I have read that you should use/wind an auto/manual once a month.

Thanks, with only two autos it hasn’t been a concern. But as I acquire more, I will definitely keep that in mind.
