You can do all sorts of things to speed up the patination of bronze. But it's oxidisation that you're looking for, so the best way is to expose it to stuff like washing powder, bleach etc. Salt has little effect, and acid (vinegar wine cocacola etc) will make it shiny.

Treatments like this will effect the whole watch and make it go dull or even green. The best way is to just wear it daily. In this way, it will age according to use. So the high spots will stay fresh where they rub on clothing etc, and the recessed parts of the case will age quicker. This will look more natural than an artificially aged bronze watch.
There's always time for one more.

Agree entirely with Paul. Watching the patina emerge, and developing your own “vintage” is one of the pleasures of owning a bronze watch. The result will be uneven and gradual, and to my preference, a much better look than the uniformity of pre-patina or forced patina.

Completely agree with both guys, it’s been interesting watching my C60 taken on its uniqueness.

Here are some updates photos. As Richard pointed out, the patina is quite uniform on the top of the watch. It’s a bit less uniform on the case side as I’ve tried to show.

The process continues. Still has a pretty even look to it.

Having had this watch for a year now, this feels like a good time for a final photo update. It’s far from work every day, or even every day, but the patina has developed just as I hoped it would. It’s a watch that I really like and I’m please that I own.

That's brilliant Alex.

A lovely soft patina to it and nothing too extreme.

From early photos of yours, and others, I was concerned that the rate of patination was quite quick and thus, after a while it would become too extreme or heavy.

Doesn't look like it has turned out that way.

Excellent, I have had this watch since September and confer patina occurs quickly, then slows and does not end up overdone, resulting in something dragged from the sea bed. Although others like this scenario and force patination to extremes.
Personally I like the way mine and yours have turned out.
