The stock strap is probably a bit more comfortable as the alligator one is a bit less flexible (at least at the moment when both are new). The main difference for me is just in the look, with the alligator being a bit thicker and darker brown.

TBH I'd suggest getting the standard strap at first and see how you get on with it - esp given the price difference and that the straps will only last a couple of years maximum anyway. But if you want to push the boat out then the alligator is very nice indeed (and it was my birthday!)

It's a great choice. Had it for a couple of months now but every time I look at it I'm still impressed. Recently tried it on an alligator strap:-

The second hand movement shot is VERY cool.

What is the strap size on the C9? I was looking at the leather straps on the main site and also a peek at the sale items but can't seem to find which size it is.
Cheers,
Andrew

I really like the style on the face of this watch. But sometimes it looks silver; other times white. Is that the various angles or the way it reflects the light?

I'll let you know when I know! :D I'm certain it's silver but different light makes it look different. Part of the appeal for me. There are some good pictures in here.

Andrew

So I did end up finding something to pick up during the sale. I picked up the black strap so I can swap them out when I want a different look.

Picked up the less than half price alligator strap to replace the standard strap which just gives it a bit more of a substantial look. Here's a photo of the regular strap:

Beautiful partially decorated [edited] movement and this one looks to be an ETA:
