Just a small correction (although it doesn't really apply to the C9 chrono)... If you allow the shutter speed to be too slow, you will get a blurring on the seconds-hand - assuming the watch is running... I have found I can get away with anything above 1/4 second, but below that, it causes issues.

very true...
the alternative is crown out with a hacking movement...
or photograph when not running - let it run down if auto / take out the battery if quartz.

I think that blurring is a cool effect, especially on lume shots!
but that may just be me

I agree - on lume shots it can look great. :)

Removing the battery from a quartz watch in order to photograph it...... maybe not....

The photos are good but I tend to crop all my photos to get the best composition.

I find using a white background works well. That way nothing detracts from the watch it self. Nice a simple. Cheers H
