Well the Bader strap didn't work out sadly....due to getting the small size strap which doesn't seem to suit the bader for me anyway.

So I got a good condition second hand Hirsch Grand Duke for it instead and fitted a CW buckle to it.
Very comfortable and the strap has already been 'ran in' so lovely and soft ;)

That's a great match Ferg. The Bader buckle didn't fit me well either.

C9 FLE #09/80 has left the building...!
Now in the hands of it's original second owner, footycrazy.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time with it.
It was my first handwound and I will probably get another handwound in the future.
The lure of another LE meant it left to continue it's future with Graham ;)

Whilst I am delighted for you Ferg......

What the hell were you thinking????? Surely this is the ultimate fle? One that truly is different as opposed to dial/hand changes!!!

No man no.

Having just taken ownership of Welshlad's C9 FLE I concur with your thoughts Nick

BUT

as Ferg has alluded to, there was another LE calling in the wind to him and it has / had a stronger pull.

Hey Nick ;)
I actually agree with you, as FLE's go, the 2011 C9 FLE is very unique indeed.
I loved having the watch and having a part of the ownership history of it.
Alas it never felt right for me personally.
The caseback is breathtaking and all the other elements too, but just not 'me'.
I hope you understand mate.
As is the case for lots of things in this horology hobby we have, tastes differ sometimes and that's what makes it enjoyable too :)
It's gone to a Very Good Home now for sure and will be enjoyed for what it is, a truly beautiful watch.

Fair enough my friend. No point in keeping it if you were not getting on with it. At least there is another taking its place!!!

Funny isn't it how we can dream of the perfect watch, sometimes for years. We find it, try it on and.......... meh.

Fantastic that it is going home!

In my opinion this is the only nice FLE so far. Just saying! Mad to part with it!

I was another who was surprised when I saw you'd sold the C9 FLE, but then I discovered your other thread about the yellow C60 Kingfisher that you'd traded for it (I'd just assumed you'd sold it). A bit of a different matter now, as they are both brilliant watches, albeit very different watches. As I said in the other thread, I would hate to have to choose one over the other, but I think that this has the makings of a great trade as you've both ended up with a brilliant watch.
