To be quite honest if it means that the end result is quality watches for everyone in the future then I quite agree. It's becoming increasingly difficult to recommend CW to others due to the levels of service and faulty products at this present time.

CW will grow as a result of satisfied customers telling others about not only the end product they are proudly wearing but also the shopping experience.

We all have our own experiences some good some bad and it is obvious that there are far too many of the latter, even the staff say that it was much better when it was just Swiss Movmnt.

How can I go and tell all about this wonderful company I have discovered when I ordered a watch that was shown 'In Stock' after speaking to staff to ensure that it would be delivered in plenty of time for my birthday AND 55 days later it still hasn't arrived, missing my big day by 20 days so far!

Reports from the owners on here are stating that the watch appears faulty and it would appear to be highly likely that when mine does finally arrive it is probably going to suffering from the same faults.

I sincerely hope not and that in times of global recession where companies producing good products are disappearing, CW can address the issues and if it means delaying manufacture until quality control is established then so be it.

I wonder if the swiss made C3 will be as good as my swiss movt C3.
I don't want to upset myself again!
I didn't realise there were so many issues with the new stuff until i started reading through all this.

My C7 has a scratch on the case, just below the glass where the links start (on what I assume is the brushed stainless bit). It looks like someone slipped with a drill.

Now I was going to just live with it, but when i hear all these other issues (although mine is relatively minor), I wonder whether I should return it for another one. After all, you can buy a watch from Argos for £20 and not have any defects on it, why should I put up with it on a watch that cost £200 more?

Shouldn't have to....if you are not happy then return it. All these service/supply/quality control issues need sorting...the more people that raise the issue then the more likely they will be addressed sooner rather than later.

Folks,

It would be good if Chris or someone from CWL could come onto the form and give a statement regarding the recent issues regarding quality and supply...suspect they are trying to do too much all at once and rushing things through to get them out by Christmas.

I agree, this company seems to have lost the plot. Also moving assembly from China to Switzerland now seems not such a great idea - they must be struggling to pay the Euro bills give the pounding the GBP has taken (excuse the pun) - expect to see significant price hikes.

Soon be cheaper to get that real deal.... Tag Carrera

Folks,

Last order for Christmas is today, anyone taking thier chances on a CWL ?

By the way, as an aside...on the Rolex, Tag and CWL question :

John McCain wears a Rolex Air King while Barack Obama wears a Tag Heuer Carrera. Does John McCain wear his Rolex Oyster Perpetual just to seem like he is the President for the masses? Is a Tag Heuer really the proper watch for Presidential hopeful Barack Obama, the man of the people, the law professor and community organizer?

I think the Tag Carrera wins hands down (and I don't mean broken hands).....

When my 'wrong order' C7 turned up, not only was it a Ltd Ed, so didn't have the serial no' I'd asked for, but also had several scratches on the back where I presume the tool for screwing the back on slipped?!!

Had this been a cheapy from Argos or the like, I'd have wanted an unmarked one, so for best part of 200 quid, I want a prestine example......so yes, it got sent back too!!

Crackin' photos but disappointing to hear about all this issues regarding a premium swiss quartz movement!

Personally I think I will wait until an Auto version becomes available in brown or green!

There appears to be no Quality Control at present because watches are being sent out with scratched case backs. Nobody in their right mind is going to send a product out to a customer with scratches over it. Or with movements that don't operate properly, misaligned hands and a date change completely different to that it the manual.

Looking at mine again, I note that the minute hand is 30 seconds out compared to the seconds dial. I assume that's the misaligned hands issue?
