Finally got around to taking some shots. This one is definitely a keeper too, had it 6 months or so now and the movement is soooo smooth, and the burnt orange works fantastically against the wave guilloche black dial. On the waiting list for a JAG 2012 FLE red as well, but meantime my only gripe on this model is the red GMT hand - orange would be so much better and it is a stock part from the SKKO Otherwise the watch is a winner - I dont mind the offset 4pm date window at all - position is OK, round might just elevate it further for me. The orange stitch on the strap works superbly and the weight of the watch, fit and finish is top notch and better than my Breitling's ever were (hence now gone). Incidentally, the steering wheel is from Nelson Piquet's 1989 Lotus F1 car and he signed it at Goodwood for me a few years back:

Very nice F1 hardware you are posting on here. I was thinking about getting the red GMT hand changed to orange too. May send the watch away in the summer.

This as the only watch that piqued my interest in the NN. Congrats - it looks great.

Jag - any reason given by CW for not wanting to change the bezel other than the usual no modifications allowed? I think an orange bezel standard c60 would be a winner!

You could always buy both... swap the bezels... then sell the combination you don't want. ??

I do appreciate that there is a significant initial outlay and no guarantee of any return on the unwanted components - still ...it's your money not mine - all I have to worry about is the value of my advice - and who cares about that?

Unfortunately it is not possible to fit the orange bezel to the Trident pro. The bezels are fitted to the cases during assembly in Switzerland using a specific press, so to change the bezel at a later date would mean re casing the watch. Because the Trident GMT cases are thicker, The Trident pro movement would not fit correctly so re casing would not be an option.

I was very disappointed with CW's in house DR as I wanted to buy an orange bezel'd normal trident (none GMT version) for JAG's 40th as it would of been an extra special watch that he wanted.

I believe it is normally (and I stress that word) it is possible for a watchmaker to take a bezel off and fit another one [same type, same watch]. I'm surprised that C60 regular and C60 GMT bezels are not interchangeable.

I wouldn't attempt it myself - the C60 bezel seems particularly well attached - I have only done one other (Russian - Vostok Amfibia) purely out of curiosity... and that didn't need a special press to put it back, just fingers.

Your piccies showed how the C60 is a real class above the other GMT master wannabies (IMO at least), and I presume from your experience as a Rolex collector (what a envious collection you have btw ) who owns a GMT master, it's probably not so easy to pick between the two if one takes brand awareness out of the picture.

If I may also highjack this post in response to JAG and Mrs. J., I hear you totally, lame excuses are the worst. Its like what you get when you bump into gals who left you fake numbers in a bar.

If I may be blunt, I guess the real answer to that is probably "we knew the Orange would sell anyways so might as well only sell the GMT version to make more bucks" , of course that is based purely on the presumption of higher profit margin on the GMT version and maybe very unfair to CWL but at least that is the implication to me at least. However, like what has been suggested if the GMT hand was orange, then I think it could be justified that for design sake only GMT version is available.

Oh well, but then there are too many things I like about CWL to let this lead to any adverse feeling towards the brand
