C5-Q-SWK Mk 1 Galvanic dial

Post by MiniMpi »

My friend and workmate has been getting the CW bug for a while now as he keeps seeing the nice new CW's i'm getting and when he saw my recent C5 SKK Mk 1 Galvanic dial i picked up in the sale he WANTED it lol

So as he's not great 'on the interweb' i said i'd buy him a watch in the sale and he'd pay me for it.
He loved the look of my C5 and wanted a dress watch but wasn't fussed about an automatic or quartz so he went for the C5-Q-SWK.
I met him recently and took photos as there are very few Quartz C5 photos on here.
I must say i love the ivory coloured Galvanic dial on it and it looks great in the sun, i tried to show this in my last photo.

38mm with 18mm lugs. Standard Mk I specs as listed http://www.christopherward.co.uk/men/dr ... q-swk.html

I have a C5 quartz and I find it strange as the bottom half is blank whereas an automatic has that written on it which seems to balance the dial a bit more.

I thought about getting one for mine too. It isn't too blingy?

True, I always notice when I look at mine. I don't know why it just doesn't say QUARTZ in that area. What is so embarrassing about owning a Quartz watch? The MKII Quartz says Mark II. What the hell? :problem:

It's my friend's C5 Quartz, he didn't like the leather strap at all and I picked up a very good condition second hand bracelet for him and I have to say it transformed his watch. Looks very well now I must say. It is a bit blingy not too much though ;)
I found it made the dial colour really stand out.

Thanks. I'll pick one up when I get the MKII next Christmas. Right now, I am looking at different brown Hirsch straps and can't pick one. I will post some pictures of mine soon enough.

Agree with Ferg its similar (and so pretty) and "Automatic" balances out the dial!
