Re: USA Showroom Appointment Bookings is Now Live.
I have a suggestion that might be worth considering once they get things going, which would be to allow virtual video appointments. This could allow other US clients across the country to view watches of interest via a video call. These customers could then also benefit from the plan for CW to cover duty on ordered watches. Hope this is something that could be implemented to attract even more fans to the brand.

^^^^ Are you suggesting Virtual Appointments in the same way as CW already offers them from Maidenhead?

It’s detailed in the link in the first post. The watches are still shipped from Maidenhead but if you pay for the watch during your visit to the showroom all postage and duties are covered by CW.Bahnstormer_vRS wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2024 3:55 pm ^^^^ Are you suggesting Virtual Appointments in the same way as CW already offers them from Maidenhead?

^^^^ Thanks, Olky.
I hadn't read the link and therefore didn't realise that audio.bill's suggestion was answered in it.
Seems like an excellent incentive.

Edit 16:23hrs; on reflection, I think I was misreading audio.bill's post, that virtual showroom appointment customers should / could get the same benefit as in person appointment customers.
Tricky one that. .

Re: USA Showroom Appointment Bookings is Now Live.
I don't think that particular perk is to attract more fans to the brand. It is to get more boots physically into the showroom. If that weren't the case the vouchers would cover duty for US customers with a lot less expense.audio.bill wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2024 12:06 pm I have a suggestion that might be worth considering once they get things going, which would be to allow virtual video appointments. I really doubt if they do offer a video appointment option CW will pick up duty on that order.

I am not sure if he still does it but Teddy Baldassarre has been offering chat/phone/video on his website for some time.audio.bill wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2024 12:06 pm I have a suggestion that might be worth considering once they get things going, which would be to allow virtual video appointments.

CW has offered video appointments in Maidenhead since 2020.nycWATCHnerd wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2024 4:48 pmI am not sure if he still does it but Teddy Baldassarre has been offering chat/phone/video on his website for some time.audio.bill wrote: ↑Fri Sep 06, 2024 12:06 pm I have a suggestion that might be worth considering once they get things going, which would be to allow virtual video appointments.
From the Archive Timeline:
Early August brought the launch of the "CW Virtual Showroom". Due to the Covid 19 pandemic CW created a method of displaying and demonstrating watches via the internet. This appointment only service has been well received at launch.

Re: USA Showroom Appointment Bookings is Now Live.
There is something special about a showroom visit. Last summer I combined visiting friends with a trip into Maidenhead. Chatted with Declan, tried on lots of watches, enjoyed an excellent coffee and walked out with my pre-ordered Twelve Ti on the wrist. Much nicer than waiting for Ash to arrive in his van between 1107 and 1307.
Mind you, if we in the UK think a four-hour drive to Maidenhead is a long way, we probably wouldn’t consider going to Dallas from Seattle or Bangor, ME. A virtual visit would be a good substitute.

Re: USA Showroom Appointment Bookings is Now Live.
Last time I was in London (Oct '23) I said to my wife:
"The CWL showroom is just near the airport so we can stop on the way in or on the way home."
My wife responded with:
"No. This is a vacation and not a watch shopping expedition."

@nycWATCHnerd - I'm fully conversant with that sentiment.
Actually, on my part I try to work on the 'I'm on holiday I won't look at any watches' principle but my partner knows me too well and she points out a Watch Shop and says, 'would you like to go and have a look?'.
