Since my post earlier today, I have now received an update that CW are now expecting the updated sample dial to be available in two weeks' time.

Apparently, an updated dial was rejected at the factory as they were still not happy with some very specific details on the finishing, which required a slight tooling amendment to fix it. CW have prioritised the update, with the updated dial now being expected in two weeks' time.

So...there is progress, but the complexity of the dial means it is taking longer than planned to get it just right. But it will be worth it in the end and it does feel as though we will have a breakthrough soon.

I'll let you know when I know anything more.

Tongue planted firmly in cheek but..... date of post by @welshlad 8 plus two weeks, that's 14 days which takes us 8 +14 = 22: that's tomorrow!!

I was taught to be cautious, not patient and I long for a breakthrough soon but right now I'd rather have a Bounty!

Ah, the fabled plain chocolate, red-wrapper bounty. Almost as rare as a FLE.
I imagine the 2023 FLE is going to be a real bargain in the end, given the level of dial finishing that's involved. More complicated than the 12.
It will be good to see the final result, although I didn't buy one
