I went for the black vintage oak leather. I have the camel, which is amazing, so I'm excited for this one too. And the watch looks great on it in the renders! As for engraving, I went with something sentimental regarding my wife and kids. Which will serve to make sure this one never leaves my collection.

I'm also happy to confirm for anyone ordering from the USA, that if you order in GBP, and go with the leather or #tide strap option, the cost comes in just under the threshold for customs duties. I'm happy to avoid any possible delays by DHL... I want this on my wrist as ASAP as possible!

I should have mentioned this as well. Even using PayPal (conversion fees etc) the leather strap option comes in under $800.

That'll be a cool date to receive it, as it's my birthday. :)
That would be a day late for mine so hopefully it's Royal Mail and they are back at work by then and it comes on the Saturday before, when it shouldn't

5 months to produce what is essentially a custom dial on a standard model? Seems excessive. Wish I would have know that upon order.

And CW has the use of $845 usd of my money in the meantime.

The timescale was clearly stated in the first post of this thread...
Production Process & Timescales

Production of the watches will take several months. CW advise that if we are able to finalise all the pre-orders (minimum 30) and payments before Christmas, then their current best estimate for delivery is April/May 2023. However, we will keep everyone updated on progress, including when a sample dial is produced for inspection and approval by the Design Group before we enter the mass-production stage.

Custom two part dial plus a new logo that needs to be perfectly aligned. Pretty sure they don't have a solid case back for this model either so hopefully they will try a few versions in the name of making it as slim as possible.

.... and to fit it into the normal processing and production of the standard portfolio of watches, ensure the quality of the custom dial and caseback to prevent complaints about the finished watch etc etc

Man, if only it had explicitly said that in the announcement post.

This little run of 40 watches has to get slated into the rest of their production schedule. It’s not the only thing they’re doing.

In the email we received with ordering details, we were given a deadline on Monday 19th December to place our orders.

Is anyone from the FLE team now able to confirm that enough people followed up with an order to make this viable, and do we have a final number of FLEs that are going to be made?

Thanks

I know that enough people have paid to ensure that the FLE will definitely be made, but we are still awaiting confirmation of final numbers from CW, as Kip said.

Thank goodness for that. I'm foregoing my new watch for Christmas this year and if the FLE wasn't being made it wouldn't leave me long to find a replacement!

Well, considering the last FLE before this was in 2017, the next year model might not exactly be right around the corner
