Re: C5 Slimline - Elimination Round 1
I've cast 5 votes in each category for those designs that I like, are different to prevoius Forum LEs and, quite importantly, will IMHO 'work' as a Forum LE. In a couple of cases it seems that I've selected a front runner in the current voting.
Of course, votes can IIRC be adjusted up until the deadline; so there's plenty of opportunity for change (if I feel it is warranted, which I hope it isn't).

Re: C5 Slimline - Elimination Round 1
The watches that work best as forum LEs, if I read it right, are the ones that come up rarely on sales corner and fetch well above the original price, and they often have a waiting list of WTB posts as well.
May the best watch win.
May the best watch win.

Five votes cast here. Was very difficult too, so many great designs. This is all rather exciting

Re: C5 Slimline - Elimination Round 1
All my votes are in now. I hope the C5SLM-29 single hander moves on to the next round at least. And it should be the least expensive option since it only has one hand to manufacture and install.
I think the C5 designs are stellar, and I prefer them to the C65.

Re: C5 Slimline - Elimination Round 1
I've used all 5 votes in the C5S category, none in the C65.
Would be quite happy to purchase any of those I voted.
Added:
The one-hander was a close 6th, but in the end I decided I probably would not buy it as I already have a handwind RLT onehander with a Breguet hand. I also tried not to go for designs that I felt CWL might release in future as a standard model. Thus, I avoided the 2 candidates with the Harrison 5D/BDD house style.

Pardon me if you know this already, but we all have ten votes available; 5 x C5 and 5 x C65.asqwerth wrote:I've used all 5 votes in the C5S category, none in the C65.
Unless you didn't vote for any of the C65s because you don't like any enough to do so.

Re: C5 Slimline - Elimination Round 1
I think a number of us decided we were not going to vote for watches we wouldn't buy, as it would be unfair to slew the voting for those who would buy them. I voted for two C5SL models and nowt else.

I pulled out 3 votes as well rather than using all votes. Good idea.

I am not sure that the voting is about what you will buy (although that is important) but what would make a good FLE.

I think it's a personal preference of how each person wants to vote, but all are ok

Re: C5 Slimline - Elimination Round 1
I think there has to be an element of whether you would buy. If I had no intention of buying I'd happily vote for the ones I think are the best designs.ianblyth wrote:I am not sure that the voting is about what you will buy (although that is important) but what would make a good FLE.
There are many I think are good but only one I personally would want to buy. I'm not going to vote for thoseI wouldn't buy, especially if that risks the one I would buy not winning.
Therefore, I've voted for one, the one I would buy!

I know it's not a commitment to buy, but surely this should be a strong consideration when selecting your choice. Hence only a couple of votes on each category here.

Interesting that three white faced dials are leading the voting at this stage.

It is, especially as the 2013 was white faced.theaub wrote:Interesting that three white faced dials are leading the voting at this stage.
Gone for ones with a splash of colour, my favourites are the red faced no. 24 and green no.3
