2 of my choices made it into the final three - Which one would I buy and never tire of??? :? - The Scooter methinks.

I'm inclined to agree with Downer, in that we should just vote for the watch we would buy. As much as I think the Scooter would be an awesome 'permanent' addition, there is absolutely nothing to suggest it will ever be.

Just vote for the one you'd buy and forget about ideas like 'forum LE's should be different'; 'LE's should stand out' etc. The old adage of Coco Channel, springs to mind - ''Fashion fades but style remains'' :D :D

The other two are still great watches though. :? :?
CW’s - C63 sealander, C65 Chrono
Others - Rolex Submariner, Rolex Airking, Rolex Datejust, Jaeger LeCoultre Polaris, Bremont Airco Mach1, Duckworth Prestex Viewmatic and 1 or 2 others

Agree with this and Downer. The Scooter will stand the test of time and will be worn. The other two are striking in their own right but would, I think have limited long term appeal. Otherwise why no similar Parnis, Steinhart, Archimede, Stowa or even Rolex come to think of it. Pity about the position of the date though (for those who can stand hearing it again!)

Well, for my tuppence worth, of the three that's left, the only one I'd buy would be the Scooter.

If the Trident did not already exist and someone had posted the standard black SKS as a contender, I believe it would have won and the Scooter would have come in second. Most WIS are a conservative lot:?

I have held back from buying a Trident until arrival of the new steel bracelet, so IF the Scooter were to win will I buy it, or would I just go for the standard black, tough choice. :?

Will I buy the Wilko or the Red Jag if they won? Do I want more than one Trident, probably not. :(

From the point of view of someone who won't buy a Trident (onions and all that :) ) and therefore unbiased,i would heed you all to do as suggested already....
...forget about who's is who's....forget about second guessing whether CW would use one of the colour schemes....forget about what is most 'classic' and which would stand the test of time best.
You are not voting based on what the general populus may or may not like/want,but on what you like/want.

Congratulations to the 3 finalists ( i hate you  )

I wanted 1 of the 3 white ones to be here, but sadly not. My honest opinion is that as an FLE it has to be the Red out of the 3 finalists

Would i buy it, I don't think so.

Would i vote for it, yes if i had to choose 1.

As for the Wilko and Scooter, they,re great, but not as an FLE ( too conservative for me )

When and if a WHITE Trident is added to the range, then i will buy another Trident. Until then i will be happily wearing my Orange C60

Just my HONEST opinion.

First up- well done to the finalists. The process has been great and I have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of it, not least getting stuck into the photoshopping!

The problem here, for me, is that I already own a black faced Trident and I love it. I would not buy another that is similar but would buy something that was on the opposite side of the colour wheel, ie white.

The scooter, albeit possessing a lovely colour scheme (and it is lovely!), is too similar to my trident. I could never wear a red faced watch and I dislike, to the point of vehemence, orange detailing on watches. So I won't be making a purchase. However, I will vote in the final round as I think there is one of the three that has a certain 'je ne sais quoi' and is a worthy FLE.

So there we have it. One thing that has come out of the process is a discovery of a passion for white faced watches and hence my next purchase is likely to be a C20 when the new straps come in, which should scratch the itch... at least until the next one starts!

Best of luck chaps. 8)

Congrats to the designers of the three finalists. For me, it is the Wilko-I love the color combo.

I think all of these watches look good. I don't particularly want the Scooter to win though. I've already got a Seiko Diver with a blue dial and a blue bezel. Don't need another one of those even though the Trident would undoubtedly be a better one.

The orange detailing on the Wilko makes it different enough that I'd think hard about buying it. The Jag looks really sharp to me (and the bezel really makes it stand out), but I was less than stunned with the color on the red C7, so I'm not sure how much I will really like the red.

I think I'd ultimately be happiest with the Jag assuming that the red is very deep and less like a ketchup color. I am not really worried about every watch purchase being timeless. If I were, I doubt I would have bought a Cunningham Stripe or a Kingfisher with a yellow dial.

Like JM, I would have liked one of the white faced watches in the final. Personally, none of the finalists particularly appeal to me, and I disagree with people voting in the final if they have no intention of buying one.

So on that basis... I'm out

I think two of the options I voted for are in the final ;)

Tough tough choice to pick one now though....

Either the Wilko or the the Red Jag :)
