They will do that....sweat, oil from the skin etc etc!!
That's the only thing I don't like about these custom/unusual type straps is that you can't change them so easily!!
You could buy the other colour strap from CW tho?!!

Re: Watch strap for LE2009
This is a thread resurrection and a half
...but, having recently acquired a 2009 FLE, I think that I may have found a strap solution.
I've just bought a blue one of these:

As a follow up...
The strap ordered from eBay, as per the link above, arrived
It's a bit of a tight fit and a little stiff but otherwise spot on

Re: Watch strap for LE2009
Reviving this thread, I have a much loved le2009 whose strap is in terrible shape. What are my options?

Re: Watch strap for LE2009
From what I read on the first page it seems they're talking about the CW FLE from 2009 - a C2 Lido with pretty blue bits
Edit Just noticed which section this thread is in - definitely the right watch

Re: Watch strap for LE2009
Yup, that's the correct watch, from the description.
There are several pages of photos in the Reference Gallery which is easily accessed via the CWArchive.
I can't otherwise help with a strap, other than to say that CW had a batch of Vintage Oak straps made for the C2/C20 a few years ago, but they're sold out now.

Re: Watch strap for LE2009
I take it that central projection is fixed, and non-removeable, so the strap is specially made. In which case, I imagine you would have to go the handmade route. I don't know whether if it has a standard spring bar, or whether there's a pin that can be unscrewed to release the old strap.
It's a very attractive watch. I should think a CW cordovan would look very good with that.

Re: Watch strap for LE2009
One option is to buy a 26mm strap and then cut out a notch from it on each piece, to match the fixed central lug of the C20. You can re-use the fitting post from the original strap to attach it to the watch.
Alternatively, approach a bespoke strap maker and ask them to make you a strap - and send them the original strap so they can get the precise measurements.
