That's a nice GMT and 1 that I'll try on as I'd like a GMT.
But is there a specific reason why the 24hour numerics are on the bezel and also inside the dial?
Shouldn't 1 or the other be the normal 1-12?
24 hour numerals on the bezel are a normal spec on a GMT, to give the ability to work out a 3rd time.
24 hours on the dial for this model are, I assume, a foible to make reading the time from the GMT hand easier; as you naturally know the hours on a 12 hour scale.
HOWEVER, on some watches, and possibly this one as it is named a 'worldtimer', it may be that the hour hand rotates only once within 24 hours (at least that what it does on the CWL C9 Worldtimer).
Guy
Spot on Guy. On this one it is just to make reading the GMT time easier.
There is also apparently a non GMT, 3 hand version that has a 24hr movement, so options aplenty!

I knew that. Just didn't want to imply it was a bad photo.

Maybe I should bury this in the back yard and dig it up in a few months just to see what sort of patina develops.

I have no doubt it's only the first of many. Very nice! I'm a little envious perhaps, but I think that's fabulous.

Lucky you for getting the watch and also your work location - great area for watch viewing / buying.
It's a lovely watch and I'm pleased for you getting on the list early enough to get 1 from Omega - the only 1 I've seen available is at Watchfinder at over £6000 so not much chance of me owning 1. Never mind, I'll have to make do with your photos and the Speedmaster magazine they sent.
