I now need to decide whether to buy used or new. These have been around since 2012'ish but there are not hundreds up for sale. I could go grey but I'd also like to support my local AD, who is also a friend.

Yeah. I have found a couple of unworn watches at grey dealers (including one that is quite local to me) but the saving over new is not earth-shattering.
