Great post of what must have been a fantastic visit. Moser seems like a great company, and the watches are among the great and good in my book.

Never thought I'd like a brown faced watch but that does look good, with the exception of the date window black background.

Whats the tiny arrow, pointing to 12, on the hand set? Is it a GMT hand?

Fantastic post, I enjoyed reading that. Although I would not buy a Moser (not my style of watch), I do appreciate them and the trip around the factory would be fantastic. What a great trip to make, your watch looks brand new now too. Cheers for sharing

Moser like to be different - I think the watch is their take on a Perpetual calendar, no day of the week, just the date and month, with the arrow being how you read the month. The year is on the back. Clever, at a cost.

Excellent! What a great report - thanks very much.

Next time I call into their AD in Bangkok, I will look at one of their offerings and think, 'all the way from a Swiss industrial estate to the Orient' and try not to let that take the shine off of it! :D

It was a great day and I'm really appreciative I got the chance to go out there. Postage back was going to be almost £100 and a return flight was about £70. There was car hire on top but given the experience we got it was a small price to pay :D. The perpetaul calanders are great, as nbg said they like to be a bit different and some of the info is on the back of the dial (the power reserve is on mine too) but it keeps the watches looking cleaner so a style choice I think. They have a museum there too which we were a bit too late to visit so will have to make extra time and plan that in for the next trip! Thanks for all the positive comments

@SIB - a very interesting post and sounds like a great day out. Thanks for posting.

What were your thoughts on the green dial Pioneer and did you get the impression that there were any other SS models that they may produce?

I think your watch is the nicest one there, apart from the green one maybe?

The green Pioneer was really nice, the dial changes from almost black to a vibrant green depending how the light hits it. A friend has the blue one (he’s trying to get the green too) but I think the green is a lot nicer. There was no mention of other SS models although I didn’t ask.

I’m maybe a little bias but I think mine is one of the nicer ones too......I really like the simplicity of the dial while still having some markings.
