Re: Magrette Moana Pacific Diver II, New Arrival
If I were to rate them Ian, I’d possibly still put the Kara in top place, but only just - it’s a very close run race, with results that may well change from time to time.Tyke wrote:Nice pick up Gary, I had the Kara down as the best of the bunch, but not so sure now, the yellow details really make that version sing.

Re: Magrette Moana Pacific Diver II, New Arrival
Thanks Ferg. They’re big buggers by any measure, but the Kara is light and the MPII in 42mm guise is just small enough to suit me. They make a nice alternative to a Trident if you’re ever tempted to stray.MiniMpi wrote:Congratulations Gary
I was never a fan of the Magrette brand to be honest.
But I have to say that this latest one does look rather good indeed !

Re: Magrette Moana Pacific Diver II, New Arrival
Greetings,
I had a feeling this would be a looker.
It is, well done.
There's something about a splash of bright colour on a dial/bezel, as others have said, it really brings it to life!
Another Magrette masterpiece.

Re: Magrette Moana Pacific Diver II, New Arrival
A great looking watch. I love my Regattare Brass, but I would enjoy it more in 42mm. The 2mm difference is certainly noticeable.
The leather strap you have paired it with is a stunner as well.

That puts my original Moana Regattare in the shade doesn’t it

Re: Magrette Moana Pacific Diver II, New Arrival
I still like it, a lot. It has after all survived my recent radical cull. My 42mm version is not as bulky as the Kara, but is heavier. The one thing I'd like to be different is the height, it is rather tall, which is one of my pet hates. Yet oddly I don't mind it.
I really like the yellow version, it just really grabs me when I see it.
I won't be wearing it on the bracelet though, at least not without replacing the clasp. The clasp is of quite good quality, but it's so damned thick and bulky I can't handle it. A simple plain clasp would be a huge improvement. Just wear it on rubber or leather.

Forasec is based in Zaltbommel, NL, so much more convenient for you if a return is necessary. I had to return my Kara as there was an issue with the movement. They sent a replacement the next day, fantastic customer service!Savagemouse wrote:Cool thanks for the update.
