What are your Watch plans for 2018?

A place to discuss other watch-brands

It looks like everybody's watch plans for 2018 (including mine) is to reduce the quantity of watches they own.

The Sales Corner is stacking up with FLE and LE watches amongst other CW examples and the Other Brands sale section likewise has several watches for sale.

There's only so much money around so what'll sell?

There are too many magpies around these parts (self included) who can't resist a shiny bauble or ten....so sellers do not worry

No plans this year having added the 316L blue and steinhart nav b chrono dlc at the back end of last year. Next year though - 40 and plans afoot for one or two....

Cant see myself buying anything this year, if that did change it would probably be another Dornbluth or JLC Reverso.

Last year I’ve reduced my collection, sold many and bought 2 Glycine Combat sub,1 Oris 65,1 Aramar and 1 Tudor lhd.On 30/12/2017 I’ve received my Rolex 116500 ( the prevision was during the spring 2018 but I’ve been lucky). This year a C60 Trident Pro 600 Vintage Vintage Black and money for watch this year are ended ! I’m considering the Tudor BB chrono or a used Explorer I (36 or 39 mm) but I’ll have to sell a Combat Sub,the Oris 65 ,the Aramar and a Zenith rainbow.....

I'm going to try looking on forums more and spend less time buying watches haha.

Going to seriously try keeping a small collection instead of flipping incessantly. That way I may be able to appreciate them more.

Should help with the whole moving to a first home thing as well. This is an expensive hobby!

I would really like to get a Breitling. Love that ivory Transocean 1915 chrono job, but my next watch has to be a blue dial that I really like. I had the blue Rado, and now have the CW blue C65 and it just doesn't do anything for me at that size. I'd live to see that at 39 or 40mm.

No, for a real blue it has to be either the blue Milgauss, or the incredible blue-dial blue-bezel blue-aero-classic strap w/folding clasp SuperOcean Heritage II. 42mm size. A more doable price than the Milgauss, though I can see the Milgauss being used more often as a daily watch.
Rolex Explorer II | Tudor BBR | Tudor North Flag | Omega Seamaster Pro 300M | Speedmaster 3513.30 | TAG Kirium F1 | Chr.Ward C9 GMT | C10 Mk1 | C65 LE | Oris Player's 7410 |
WR: 7.25"

Madness takes its toll. Please have exact change.
