AA really squirmed and struggled a bit in this review to accomodate the fact that this watch is neither a fleiger or a dive watch..... he sounded a bit sneery when he said that the 'idea of a land sport watch is a bit passe'.... why?? considering that many divers never go near a running tap i found him a bit disingenuous..... i'd say that a 'land sport' watch is an underrated and underrepresented type of watch in amongst the divers and fliegers.

this watch might fit into nordwulf's thread on watches for explorers.

(i really like this watch for its clarity and the fact that it's not a diver!)
watching you fail in your quest for a “one watch” has been great entertainment

Interesting assessment missF; I'd agree.

Guess this Prospex is an upmarket version of Seiko's Sport5 Landshark.

And is utterly gorgeous (and a decent size to boot!)

Often considered one of these, but a bugger to get hold if in the UK.

How do you find it?

I have been looking at that one for a while. :) The compass bezel is a nice detail but makes it a bit too busy for me. Still a lot of watch for the moeny.
