I was just reading the Worn & Wound post before knocking out last night. I like these a lot — particularly the root beer version (I'm sure it has a fancier name but that's the association that instantly came to mind). Don't know that I could pull off a 40mm dress watch, though. I'll be keeping an eye out for wrist shots as they enter circulation.

I think it's akin to a Manhattan cocktail, red vermouth and bourbon...

I have power reserve on my Presage and it does make the watch quite tall, so if I was going to get one, it'd be the standard version

Really loving this new range. I always liked the original Cocktail version.
The dial is simply stunning 8)
I feel a movement in the force...........
Would like one at some stage, possibly the SSA343 or the SRPB43.

Agree, they look great. Never had a Seiko but these would be well up on the list, probably the B43 on the bracelet and the rose gold B46 on leather. So different I could make a case for both.

I may get ridiculed for even thinking of mentioning the Presage Cocktail in the same breath as the GS............but they look very well made and worth considerably more than the list price for them. So poor man's GS kind of ?
Apparently it has a very basic movement, truck like. Kind of reminded me of the SH21 in a way.

I'm honestly not feeling these watches at all. Personally, I much prefer the basic 3 hand Cocktail Time where that utterly gorgeous dial is the focus of attention. The power reserve and the date subdial on these distract from the purity of the dial IMO and increase the thickness to over 14mm. The 4r35 movement is a basic but reliable workhorse movement which is a pity. This piece deserves better. For the money though, it's impressive.

Seiko Cocktail Time Presage Expands New Lines/Colours

The cocktail times have superb dials, but the box crystal is hardlex (mineral crystal). Given the profile of the crystal it's going to be an absolute scratch magnet. That's a shame as they're lovely looking watches...

Polywatch doesn't work on mineral crystals Greg, only on acrylic ones. Scratch a mineral crystal, it stays scratched unfortunately...
