Your perfect "realistic" 3 watches
Your perfect "realistic" 3 watches
Not exactly a thread that no-one's thought of before, but I can't resist these sorts of questions - especially if people post lots of juicy pictures. So: what are your realistic perfect 3 watches? They could already exist in your collection, they could be a work in progress, or simply ones you aspire to own.
Based on my current collection my 3 would be as follows, though with the Dynamic swapped for an Explorer (probably 14270):
Caveat: my thoughts of my perfect 3 change on a daily basis.
How about you?

Re: Your perfect "realistic" 3 watches
I don't have a picture of them together, but right now I reckon I'd be content with these three:

Re: Your perfect "realistic" 3 watches
Difficult, but I would keep:
- Speedmaster Moonwatch
- Rolex Explorer II (16570)
- JLC Reverso Grand Reserve
And if a 4th was allowed, it would be an Explorer (114270).

Indeed!stefs wrote:Job done
I'd say I'm nearly there with these two
But what I miss is an ultimate dress watch. Something a wee bit like this
But Is it realistic...
Re: Your perfect "realistic" 3 watches
Ah seeing your three, has reminded me of how difficult this is. Can I add a Milgauss Z-Blue? But not sure what to drop. That's why realistically it should be 6 not 3.......stefs wrote:Blimey this had mAde me realise I am pretty much there....i have these and if weare keeping it sensiblethere are probably not that many changes I would make!

Re: Your perfect "realistic" 3 watches
Here are my three after some rethinking -
1) Vintage Rolex GMT Master 1675 Pepsi (Daily watch)
2) Lange 1815 Up/Down in yellow gold (Dress watch)
3) JLC Deep Sea Chrono in stainless steel (Sports watch)
The only thing I would be missing would be a great modern steel bracelet, which should be achievable in a cheaper, beater watch then.

Certainly this changes on a regular basis, but currently:

This one, with a twist is incoming (but months away):
Then the other I would currently like to one day take my own photo of:

Re: Your perfect "realistic" 3 watches
Excellent work, guys. Having seen the pictures so far, I'd like to revise my own 3 to now be: Scooter's Sub, nbg's Explorer 2 and Blowfish89's GMT 1675.
Re: Your perfect "realistic" 3 watches
A tough choice but I think these three.
Long term would change one of the Seiko for a black diver proabably a superocean A17340.

Re: Your perfect "realistic" 3 watches
From my current collection I am very happy with these two....
This is going nowhere for sentimental reasons but I think it is one of the best all round sports / dress watches.
A great grab n go. Accurate, robust and looks good.
After these it's a toss up between my Glycine Airman 1953 the C1000 or C600GMT. However, I would be happy to see any of these last three replaced by a Grand Seiko Snowflake.
