Not wishing to defend Jura, but if the RRP is £100, then the discount they trumpet is correct irrespective of what Argos choose to sell it at (and not trumpet the saving)

I know, but on this unusual occasion they actually seem to be telling the truth.

You are correct but that watch is widely available at around the £60 mark and I don't think I've ever seen it listed at the claimed £100 RRP anywhere.

It's listed in their BLACK FRIDAY SALE section. My point was, its NOT on sale. Its being sold at the same price its always sold at, and widely available at, everyday of the year and therefore misleading.

I bow to your greater knowledge on the past history of this model, in which case I've misjudged their honesty and you've found them out!
Normal service seems to be in place at Jura...

Just had a Livechat conversation with Alpina, who will do 30% off for UK buyers if you say you are a UK Alpina owner.
I was tempted by the Blue Sunray Dial Alpiner 4 but decided against it in the end, but others should be offered the same deal.
Current collection incl Citizen, G-Shock, Rolex, Seiko, Sinn & Tag.

Good way of creating a bit of brand loyalty.

On the subject of Amazon and apologies if this has been covered elsewhere it's always worth copying the Amazon web address of a product you are interested in buying with a price tracking website such as Camel Camel Camel https://uk.camelcamelcamel.com/

This will then show useful data relating to price changes and whether the item really is a bargain or not.

So for the Leather Bulova Moon Watch the link below indicates it may have gone as low as £224.84 in the past.
https://uk.camelcamelcamel.com/Bulova-D ... B01AJE2WAW

I've found it useful in the past so no harm sharing it.
Current collection incl Citizen, G-Shock, Rolex, Seiko, Sinn & Tag.

Anybody know what Antigua is like for a little shopping of the shiny things- is it worth taking along an extra $ or 3?
So many watches, yet still so little time!

Some great deals on Filson from Nordstrom Rack. I was tempted to get a Journeyman GMT at 50% last year and now they are 76% off. Just ordered the black on nato for $170 - 3% Befrugal = $165 + tax. They also have the white GMT, chrono models and 2 Scout models.

Filson/Shinola is controversial within the watch community but I think those are some great watches for those prices. Stock seems limited so get one while you can.

The UK RRP for most brands is already cheaper than in the vast majority of other countries - so highly unlikely to find any bargains watch shopping overseas.

(The main exception being buying Japanese watch brands in Japan, where you will still have a decent saving, even allowing for payment of VAT. Still it's useless information as you are off to Antigua! :)).
