A pair of stock 090s, one on a Meranom mesh and one on a Super Oyster
WUS limited edition civilian version of the Project Ratnik Russian military watch
And finally a 960SE Neptune "tangerine blob"
I also bought this Omega:

Thanks, that dial is a looker.
For comfort and readability, the white 090 takes some beating. Only £48 delivered!

I have thoroughly enjoyed viewing this SOTC, congrats on a lovely collection. I am interested in how you find the quality and reliability of the Russian pieces?

Thanks Comrade Mibby, a really interesting selection of Russian watches
I used to visit Russia quite often in a previous job so these really interest me, I think I might add one to the want list.

The Vostoks are chunky and rugged rather than exquisite and jewel-like! Things like hand alignment and bezel action can be a bit approximate compared with Rolex or Omega, and the stock bracelets are ropey (the Meranom ones are good though, on a par with Seiko or Steinhart.)
Accuracy is pretty good, and so is reliability. I've had one DOA out of 13 and no breakdowns. I've had one DOA CW out of three, and one broken down Rolex (OK it was old) and a Tudor that broke down in 18 months from new. So Vostok stands up pretty well.
The Ocean Chrono, OTOH, has excellent fit and finish. Quality is at least as good as a (non-GS) Seiko I have and probably as good as CW. This is a £500 watch though, not a £50 one.

Re: mibby - SOTC Jan 16 UPDATE Jun 16
i keep thinking about that 420. although i've seen a mod of the gray version that comes w/o a bezel that was modded to have a bezel and then it makes me think about trying to get a gray one and mod it.
the "g" is for Greg...
