Bernie,

Thanks, I am looking forward to opening the parcel and taking some pics. I will be doing a write up once have worn it for a day or two.

It's a 1966 watch and was described as 'A watch in overall good condition". It was service last year and is running well.

That looks very nice, and reminds me a bit of my GS.

That does indeed look a really great watch!

The half minute which we daily devote to the winding-up of our watches is an exertion of labour almost insensible; yet, by the aid of a few wheels, its effect is spread over the whole twenty-four hours.

You do know that these were in house competition to the Grand Seikos due to Seiko in house duality in 60s..

Much cheaper than vintage GS and au pair in all ways.

Hi Bernie,

Yes I am very much aware of the history of Seiko. I have been hunting for to King Seiko for a while. I will continue my hunt for an early GS, if I can find an affordable one :problem: .

I have had the link you provided for a while. The article is a very good source of information and links that the article references are extremely helpful as well.

I am a Seiko-fanista and have a collection that, includes a modern GS, numerous Presages, System 5 and a couple Prospex divers.

How’s the medallion on the back look? That’s one of the things I always liked about the king seiko.
