One of the ugliest buggers on the planet, but god I want one.

A perfect example of something designed not by a design committee, but for a singular purpose that gives it a charm all of its own!

I'm very pleased with mine. Like you say, an ugly brute, but so perfect

She looks superb!

Clearly designed for a purpose, not by a committee, and looks all the better for it!

Definitely a watch that is 'left field' and like no other.

Fascinating read.

I'm surprised you haven't dabbled in the Tuna world Guy?

I would imaging they would be right up your alley (or indeed mine!)

I think I will have to have a dabble and a delve myself, although it is a big step, in both design and choice!!

Maybe a "baby tuna" first to see if I can get on with the shroud??

Sold mine after someone approached with an offer I couldn't refuse, but loved the watch. Photo shows it fitted with a Haveston Nato.
Imho the baby tuna wears better than the scallop tuna.

Current collection incl Citizen, G-Shock, Rolex, Seiko, Sinn & Tag.

So that is a baby tuna? If so, I rather like that! Still has lugs, but also a shroud. Not quite such a big leap!!!! :)

It did to me too, but it seems to have a shroud and a narrower bezel?

From memory 'Monsters' are 42mm, baby tunas are 47mm, so larger than a monster but smaller than a tuna.
Current collection incl Citizen, G-Shock, Rolex, Seiko, Sinn & Tag.

47mm ooh mama, be still my beating heart!!! My only issue with the Monster was its teeny size. Good on ya Seiko.

I think we have a winner. :)
