Re: Vintage watch of the day (30 years+)
My dad's last watch that's been in a drawer for a few years as it wasn't working and was on 1 of these cheap stretchy bracelets.
But I've just got it back from a service to get it working plus a new glass (sans cyclops), a gentle minimal dial clean, on a new Hirsch strap and it's keeping time really well.
I don't know much about it sadly but it reads as 25 jewels, automatic, antimagnetic, waterproof (!) with a plated case. Can anybody give me some idea about Geneva watches and possible age please?
Pictured against a TAG Carrera to show comparative sizes of old and current watches - 34mm for the Geneva and 41mm for the TAG.

Nice seeing this timepiece restored to excellent working condition, particularly with it's family connection.
It is of 1950's vintage, IMO, & suspect (?) it will be powered by a quality Felsa or Schildt (AS) movement, a picture of same would help be more definitive.
I can't find anything on the history of 'Geneva' watch brand, but may have associations with other similar branded companies, such as 'Geneva Sport' watch company ?
Hope I have been of some help.
Lovely timepiece BTW.

I'll join 'sinner777' ^^^^ with a bit of 70's nostalgia.
