Awful editing and proofreading aside, an interesting read.
Thanks for sharing Kip.

Thanks for the link Kip. I will come back to it when I am settled with a glass of something mildly inebriating later!

Good read. Still think CW have too many models no variations to make it a true financial success. That said there are more hits than misses. Kicking myself for not picking up a c60 mkii red bezel 38mm in the sales. Gah.

But on the expansion note, do I think at some point we may well end up having our own retail outlet? Now, that’s something that I wouldn’t be surprised at.

“ We believe there is an opportunity for us to move to the physical world of retailing – at the right time ”

Would we do them in the traditional way? No.
mmm ;)
So, we have very, very aggressive, exciting but terrifying plans in place to grow the business and the brand over the next five to seven years.

The biggest challenge is to a deliver that, but also deliver it whilst retaining this polite contact that we have, or try to have, with our customers. And retain that sort of personal relationship that of our customers feel they have with the brand.

Brand growth though will also require us to bring in more people and manage that expansion and change, so I don’t underestimate how difficult that’s going to be but we think its worth the effort.
no surprise there :)

good article

Interesting article for the couple of new bits that I hadn't heard before. If they do put stuff out at £5k then it will be for a different market to the one they have now and I think would require a few selective CW boutiques.

Hopefully they will get the brand exposure they are looking for from this.

Interesting read. I wish the brand well, whichever path and direction it ends up following.

A fascinating insight and now I know why there isn't a CWL section on Timezone! Aside from some shoddy writing, the article was that interesting that my super chilled vodka is now luke warm. Thank you again for the link Kip.

He's mentioned some of the stuff before, but there are some interesting new bits.

What he said about the China market caught my attention.

It's also not surprising that since CWL does market themselves as having a "British heart", a fair number of their customers are from Commonwealth countries or former colonies.

Agree that the writing is bad, though. I can't tell if it's just bad editing resulting in missing words not being spotted, or whether the writer just can't express herself properly and/or grammatically.

I also have a question about the pic of the scooter blue - I'm sure that pic was taken by a forum member (downer??). Did they get permission to use the photo?

I spotted that picture. It's not one of mine. I think it may belong to "beastmaster".
