The Curmudgeons Corner

Post by downer »

You get on this feckin plane with a "carry-on" the size of Wales. You walk past your row because you're too busy gobbing off on your phone. You insist on reversing up the aisle - against all the bloody traffic. There's no space for your bag (small country) so you get all ****.

The plane is already 1 hour late.

You ****!

Why, when it starts to snow, people complain the house is cold.

Shut the damn doors then - oh, it's a bit hot now :grumble:

You had one job Howdens, deliver the correct tall unit for my utility room. Nope, they delivered one meant for ovens that's shorter and therefore means no more progress can be made today. Grrrr.

Can anyone design badges here? I need a big one for when I go shopping. It needs to say:

"I am paying with cash. Please don't ask me if I want to open a store card, and no you are not having my email address."

Tw*tter

Post by scooter »

I joined Twitter about a month or so ago and have made one tweet.

I had one follower, my best mate of at least 55 years.

I am gutted because he has just 'detwittered' me.

In retaliation I 'detwittered' him.

Now I have made one tweet, am following no one and nobody is following me.

Imagine how I am feeling.

Who can I sue?

This lady needs to buy a smaller car, she only just squeezed it in.
I had to park 2 streets away thanks to her.

Every year, before Twelfth Night, I carefully remove the various Christmas lights and pack them away separately and tangle free ready for the next year.
Every year about now I get them out and they're all tangled together like a freakin' birds nest!

Received a safety recall notice on my vehicle. Thank you for letting me know.

What I don't understand is why I must be patronized as an idiot.

The last line states...."Loss of steering control increases the risk of a crash."

Seriously!! I wouldn't have considered that to be an issue. :silent:

Let me get this right.

You have found some stomach churning words that you found on the Internet and you want me to post them on my Facebook page for one hour.

You say in your accompanying text to this bile that who know who will post and who will not.

Well, you clearly won't be disappointed then if I don't bother as I gave up chain letters before I was 10.

For Heaven's sake, get a Life (my erstwhile friend).

Every store is filled with Christmas music.

Bach? Charpentier? Vaughan Williams? Good old carols?

No...

Shakin' Bleedin' Stevens! Paul Bloody McCartney! Soddin' Wizzard! Lennon if you're lucky and...wait for it...

Noddy Freakin' Holder and his Mutant Mates.

Jesus, don't bother this year, lad. The world is full of morons with no style. Stay in Heaven, the music's better.

I had an E39 530i BMW for fourteen years, 180,000miles and gave it away to a friend. When I did so, the spare had never been on the car. In the fourteen years I had a Merc SL alongside the BM, IT NEVER HAD A PUNCTURE.

In the meantime my wife had an E60 520d (70,000) and an F11 530d (98,000), and between the two, the runflat tyres had eight punctures.

We now have an X3. Is has covered 25000Km (16000m) and is on its SECOND PUNCTURE. It has been off the road for eight days now.

Run flat tyres ruin the ride. They are noisy. They are vulnerable. They are expensive $950/tyre!!!!!!

Bah HUMBUG.

At least the little Golf R has a space-saver. Then again, having conventional (if v low profile) tyres, it hasn't suffered a puncture......

To the old chap in the Prius earlier...

Just because you have a disabled blue badge it doesn't mean you can continue driving at me while I walk across a pedestrian crossing, outside a train station.

All the arm waving and "what you doing" gestures doesn't make you right

If your going to clap along with a song at a concert, please, please continue and clapping in time can't be too hard can it.

If there's one thing that gets my goat, it's hotels that charge extra for internet access.

This current place charges a daily "resort fee" that includes self-parking (ffs, thanks!), internet access, and other little luxuries. Then, when you use the internet you discover you are sharing a 64k dial-up line with several hundred other fortunate guests. Of course, it's possible to upgrade to the super-fast (i.e. It actually works) service for an additional fee. Robbing bar stewards.
