So you won't be buying a Laco Erbstuck any time soon, Steve.

I agree. Faux patination of the lume is a sin! I mean a Sinn.Amor Vincit Omnia wrote:I would like to record my discernment in respect of anything new that is trying to look old.
What I have in mind is: Old Radium (Caramac) lume; faux-patina on bronze cases; distressed straps.

I like curvy flowing lugs, and chamfers on lugs. This a characteristic shared by the two most iconic watches, atleast the older versions - Submariners and Speedmasters.
I am not big on cushion cases usually, or lugs like this -
Or like the ones on Nomos watches.

Hi as regards to fingers or hands on watches. I was under the impression that hands were on clocks. Fingers were on watches. But I have no idea where the impression came from.blowfish89 wrote:I like curvy flowing lugs, and chamfers on lugs. But what would the golf playing pensioners then do when they need to check the date to write on the score card?nbg wrote:The cyclops clearly is an unloved device for many; perhaps Rolex would be well advised to remove the cyclops from the approximately 1,500 different versions of the Datejust and other models that use it.

Re: If it where not for this......
^^^^^ Fair comment Bjorn - perhaps Rolex could compromise by just leaving the cyclops on the mixed steel/gold versions, that should cover most of the Rolex wearing golf playing pensioners....

I know of no golf playing pensioner who wears a Rolex on the course, but I do know plenty with amazing watch collections.nbg wrote:^^^^^ Fair comment Bjorn - perhaps Rolex could compromise by just leaving the cyclops on the mixed steel/gold versions, that should cover most of the Rolex wearing golf playing pensioners....
