Maybe Max is trying to apply some Senna-esque logic to his overtaking, which was "I'm coming through and if you get in my way your race will be finished also" that eventually caused many of the other drivers in Senna's golden days to be more aware of him and made it easier for him to pass them.

Either that or he's a total donut!

Very much like Hamilton in his early F1 years- I can remember some stupid incidents caused by him, so maybe Max is on his way to a few F1WC titles in the not too distant?
Not unlike a certain A. Senna in his early races.

Did anyone else see Alonso bash wheels with Hulkenberg on the cool down lap? I wondered what was going on there, and why no-one has said anything about it!

Now you mention it, yes. Saw that, bit like Seb on Lewis at Baku last year.

Likewise, not heard anything further.

It looked like he just didn't see or expect him to be there rather than anything malicious.

Looks like Vettel is acting like a spoilt 5yo again, because the safety car wasn't deployed to give him maximum disadvantage- are they becoming more like footballers, or am i just noticing what whiny little brats they can be a little more now? :grumble:

Agreed - definitely becoming more prima-donnaesque as a trend.

I guess now that they don't have to put too much effort into worrying about buying it in a fire ball there is plenty of mental energy left to bitch about the perceived injustices that are perpetrated by officials and competitors. Its not universal but its certainly a growing trend.

On a related note, pit to car radio quote of the day has to go to Mr Hamilton with this classic ( or something very close):

'Is it me or is everyone around me on fresh tyres?'

Much as he is not my cup of tea, I have to give credit where its due for such an understated enquiry and subtle dig at a crucial point in the race. It was far more powerful than having a rant

Mad Max is right. He seems quite self entitled.

Fancy Ericsson using voodoo on Grosjean

Gutted for Bottas as he had the best plan, and it had played out perfectly for him.

Mad Max needs a huge rap on the knuckles - two movements again, accident happens again, it's now too often to just be considered racing...

Laughed myself silly as Vettel made his faux pas and lost out on the podium

That makes three of us (Son & me).

Great that Checo got on the podium.

Last time a non Mercedes / Ferrari / Red Bull was on the podium?

Really gutted for Bottas and sad for red bull for not scoring any points.

Red Bull madness, mainly mad Max-ness I agree. He's very exciting, he's young, but he needs to get a grip and grow up a bit now.

Grosjean - I cannot recall in my 30 or so years watching F1, a driver losing control when weaving to warm the tyres (at safety car speed too  ) and putting it into the wall, sacre blue quelle plonker.

Bottas was so unlucky, looked like he would take advantage of good strategy from Mercedes (for a change this season) and get a win but how did the stewards not manage to remove that debris despite having an age to spot it and get rid off it with the SC being out for so long.

Vettel was a bit impetuous, not for the first time, to try and pull that move on Bottas and lost himself a couple of places in the process.

Hamilton got lucky today although drove a decent enough race. This probably balanced up the luck for him this season and now he and Mercedes need to capitalise and get the car closer to the Ferrari pace for Spain.

Certainly an incident packed race, the season so far has certainly made for good viewing

In some respects Hamilton got compensated for last years incidents with Vettel and the headrest coming loose - a race he would have won.
Do feel for Bottas however, who was incredibly unlucky.
