Guy Martin's WW1 Tank

Post by jtc »

Highly recommended viewing if (you're in the UK and) you missed it. 2 very good hours of tv spent building and driving a replica mk iv tank.

Already got it recorded and will be able to fast forward through the adverts, making it about 1hr 40mins.

Guy Martin's last programme, about six weeks ago, as a member of the Williams F1 pit crew was excellent watching too.

Was watching Blue Planet II last night.

Yes, recorded. I look forward to seeing it when I have a couple of hours to spare.

I like a lot of Guy's programs, he really gets stuck into anything he does. His books are quite amusing too.

And yet most of the bodywork courtesy of JCB, the engine work courtesy of Norfolk Tank Museum. We saw Guy doing a bit of welding here, a bit of lumping about there and lots of pondering on the awful statistics of war: lots of biting bottom lip, "crikey" and "bloomin' 'eck" moments.

Oh, own goal by Lincolnshire police.

Still enjoyable though.
