Who's next ...

Post by EddieTheBeast »

The Best Bonds? (link here) got some Forum members discussing who will be the next James Bond.

The following link WHO WILL BE THE NEW JAMES BOND? THE 15 CONTENDERS is interesting reading.

Anyway who would you choose? My list:

1 Daniel Craig
2 Idris Elba (got the feeling he might be Marmite)
3 Orlando Bloom
4 Luke Evans

Hopefully not:

12 David Oyelowo
13 Jamie Bell
14 Gillian Anderson
15 Damian Lewis

Tom Hardy for me, something about him, haven't been disappointed with one of his performances to date, (omg, I sound like a fanboy)

I'd go for Daniel Craig again but if someone new needs to have a go I'd say give Tom Hardy a chance,

I'm a Tom hardy fan, but haven't seen him in something being refined British. I like the Connery/Craig rough edge on bond, but they had a classier side, too.

Daniel Craig first and foremost.

If not then Clive Owen as second choice and Gerard Butler as third. Nobody else and 100% definitely abso-bloody-lutely not Idris although he'd be a good villain.

Gillian Anderson would be great in a Bond movie. Come to think of it, Bond would be good in an X-Files episode.

I think this young man is a decent shout.
Of the leading contenders, none of them appeal to me, but then Daniel Craig didn't when first announced.

Interesting article some good names listed

My personal picks Tom Huddleston's followed by Fassbender (the scene in the first xmen film hunting Nazis springs to mind) or Tom Hardy. But if Cavill came that close last time could see him landing the roll. A few no's for me in that list but maybe some of the older actors could play villains.

Aaron Taylor-Johnson would work if he finishes kick-ass

Not on the list, but Ed Westwick from the extremely amusing White Gold may be a good choice - or is he too young?

I'd like to see Tom Hardy give it a go. He was excellent in Taboo.
