How about something like:

Apprentice
Junior Watchmaker
Senior Watchmaker
Master Watchmaker
Artisan
Horologist
etc.

Maybe members could adjust/throw-in some other ranks in to the above?

As long as I ain't a quartz. I'm going to be posting a lot more replies to remove myself from that predicament.

I kinda like it the way it is, as the rankings specifically relate to forum use. I am probably in the minority though.
CW’s - C63 sealander, C65 Chrono
Others - Rolex Submariner, Rolex Airking, Rolex Datejust, Jaeger LeCoultre Polaris, Bremont Airco Mach1, Duckworth Prestex Viewmatic and 1 or 2 others

Good idea on the sweep of inactives and the forum could bar members from advertising until they have been on for a period (1 month) and / or made a number of (non as) posts including a mandatory intro moderated by Kip or Hans?
