Cool Wall

Post by redd »

Don't know how we could do it, but what about a CWF watch (Top Gear style) cool wall?

For CWL and/or other brands

I've thought about this for all of five minutes now.

How about a series of polls rating each CWL watch as per top gear - something like:

Seriously Uncool
Uncool
Cool
Sub Zero

Then some nice admin person could maintain a sticky post with the results, over time placing each and every CWF watch in the appropriate category.

Good feedback if nothing else and great for arguing the toss among ourselves.

In that case the C70 is 'Cool' for me - if it had been an automatic it would be in the 'Seriously Cool' bracket :D

Just posted a trial run of this for the C70MC to see how it goes. It might be worth doing it for every new release to get a straw poll as to the immediate thoughts of CWF members

Not sure it will work, as most of the CW range is cool or seriously cool. :D I guess their is only the C80 sector that fits in to the seriously uncool category  Thought I would beat Mortis to that one

Can't agree with that, but if that was the verdict it would at least have some company in the form of that Rolex copy..... sorry, homage. :D

I think (majority rulles here) we need some very loose criteria on what is cool, nominate 1 watch a week, argue the toss and try and influence each other and see what the final vote is - and the next week and the next week.

something along the lines of a watch you'd judged as cool for owning if you showed the time to......Fiona Bruce? George Clooney? who?

And all sector owners should get their coats :D

Isn't any of the cars uncool if Jeremy, James or Richard has it?

So every watch we put up there would be seriously uncool?

So you need to vote seriously uncool for CW watches 'you' own. So Kip (who I think owns every single CW watch) would be knackered (unless he is George Clooney in real life)!

Following that logic, only the CW pieces you don't have (and probably never seen in the flesh) would be voted cool or sub zero??

I think there is no use for a cool wall

Have you ever seen Top Gear's cool wall? Logic or common sense have little or nothing to do with it :)
