I like to think of it this way:

Many of us here are like pet owners whose beloved pet just gave birth to a whole lot of cute babies. We can't keep them all, although we might wish we could, because we're quite fond of the little things.

So we put the kitties or puppies (read excess watches) up for sale but we want as far as possible to ensure they go to a good home, to someone who will care for and cherish them, not to some person who immediately places them up for sale again in some shop at a higher price because of their good pedigree.

So we need to have a feel for the people wanting to buy them. It's not always only about them being able to meet our price.

How's that?

Great analogy asqwerth. In fact, recently, when another forum member saw I was looking for a particular type of watch and struggling to find one, he offered to sell me his just because I was keen to own one. He hadn't actually been looking to sell. It's about the community and helping each other out more than achieving the highest price I think.

I know you're only joking Richard, but no, seriously, he offered me a great price compared to the market prices I'd been keeping an eye on. In the end, I actually ended up not buying for another reason, but absolutely no reflection on the seller who was great about it.

Ok - hands up, it was me. Teestech was / is an absolute gent and if I actually had what he really wanted, I would have been very happy to let him have it.

And no Richard - I am not about to offer you my Seiko 5 diver

although, for the right price.........

Those SNZD75 model are really common. I could pick one up anywhere for £50 tomorrow.

Just noticed, that although I cannot view the for sale threads on my PC, I can view them fine in Tapatalk!

This is a very tedious time. I have 29 post to go. I hope to get there soon so I can buy my dream watch.

There is no rush. No "scooter's" for sale at the moment.

To be honest there really are not many CW watches on sale at any one time. It seems that people love their CW watches a ton, especially here, and so not many are being thrown back into the "wild".
