The CW part of my collection has grown again.

Post by BaconEater »

I've been looking for a good C8 at the right price for a while now.

luckily for me a friend of mine recently bought one online only to find it was too big for him. Being the good man I am I offered to take it off his hands.

I know people have issues with the antimagnetic properties and the location of the date window on the C8 but to me it's a well balanced watch which will have a place in my collection for the foreseeable future.

Well done, the C8 is a great watch. I have the Vintage U2 version.
I must say I like your current collection too.

Thank you that's just the four for today getting wound, the rest have to go through the winder in rotation.

Is the U2 the black version?

@BaconEater - lovely watch to get hold of and the cream dial is not around in great numbers; didn't sell as well as the black dial.

I had a cream dial MkII a few years ago, which I then swapped out for a MkI version that became one of my favourites, until I sold it about a year ago.

Glad to see you've got one of the original CW Aviator straps with rivets. They're fabulous and the only one I know with blasted finish rivets to match the case.

Hope you enjoy wearing it.

The C8 is a great watch - really easy to read.

I have 3 of them - vintage and Mk1 & Mk2 cream ones.

Only thing is, I haven't got one with me here and miss having one on my wrist.

Well done on expanding your CW collection.

I'm personally not a massive fan of aviator style watches but I do like the contrast of the white hands on the cream face on your watch

I think it's a great looking watch and has good wrist presence.
