C3 Malvern MKII with Different Straps

Post by Rayhan »

As promised in my member introduction post, here are a few photos of my C3 MKII. I have so far received 2 of the straps that I ordered (from Clockwork Synergy) so they will be included in the photos. One of the reasons for choosing Clockwork was because of the quick release straps they have. I am still waiting to receive the straps I ordered from Barton (again because they have the quick release options).

With the CW Embossed Brown strap:

With a Plain Black RIOS strap:

Looking forward to hearing people's opinions about which one looks the best.

Straps are like alloy wheels on a car, very much down to personal preference I feel.
I like the plain black and the light brown a lot.
I always thought the C3 was great on a rally strap, the three hole kind.

I do find it just amazing how the right strap can take a watch that rarely gets worn to a favorite. I think at times people neglect the importance of the strap. It can change the whole character of a watch.

I couldn't agree more.

I've had a blue Moonphase with blue alligator strap for about a year and to be honest it spent most of that time on a winder with very little wear. A few days ago I fitted a mid/dark brown alligator on it and it's pretty much been on my wrist ever since. It makes the blue dial zing and can't believe how much it has changed both the look and my perception of it.
Time flies whether you're having fun or not. The choice is yours.
