Yes.

You unscrew collars that surround the pushers, which leaves the pushers free to be used.

In general use, with the collars screwed in, you can't use the pushers. They are, of course, then watertight.

Compared to my seamaster that's seems like a real ball ache to use. I handled one this evening and thought it was faulty but as you have confirmed that's how it's meant to be.

Your Seamaster though, is the first chronograph where the pushers could be safely operated underwater and there have been very few other makers, if any, who've done the same since. Screw down pushers are, I suspect, easier to do. That's one of many reasons the SMP chrono was the first Omega I desperately wanted to buy, but the kids were young and I didn't have the spare money at the time...

CWL of the day

Is it just me or are there blue Tridents coming out of the woodwork at the moment? They seem to be very popular and quite rightly so I might say.

It just seems to me that when they were in production the love wasn't really there; but now...

Well, if you remember when the Trident PROs first launched in Jan. 2015 there weren't any pictures of the blue version for 3 months. When the few started to appear (sporadic and far behind the others), the blue looked very cartoony. Even a clear video review showed a funny looking blue! All and all, no images sold the general public; including myself.

When the blue went on clearance last summer, you had the whole remaining collection go for half-price. That was simply too much of a bargain to pass up on (see the recent C70 sale). There have been even more blue sales since, and now that the year has passed many people enjoy the real-life color and are wearing them; including myself! :D
