In respect of diameter and lug-to-lug length, the watch is fine even for my small wrists. But it is thick and an angled photo shot from close range can certainly make the thing look giant.

Good guess it's the charcoal dial with a bit of fiddling to get rid of the colour to bring the hands and numbers out.
