Steinhart or C8

Post by Henry14 »

Hi, I have been considering a new CW for a while now and like the look of the C8.

I have just seen a Steinhart that may be a contender, any thoughts?

They are both great watches for the money. You have a tough choice. I love them both, so it comes down to how you feel. It is your money after all

Steinhart wins for me.
I have owned several CW and whilst I am a fan of CW, Steinhart just edges it for me.
Obviously, all opinions are subjective.

I have the same dilemma at the moment, however my problem is the CW and Steinhart respective watches are completely different types, so maybe in time I may get both!

I don't have a Steinhart but I know they are considered fantastic value for money.
it is the possible use of the CW £100 voucher that brings the prices closer together in my case.

Looks and finish should come first, then spec (depending on how important for instance accuracy or material choice are for you), how it complements the other watches you have already and obviously your budget.

For me it would be the C8 solely based on the looks. Steinhart offers a lot of bang for your bucks but I can't stand the look of it.

I have a Steinhart hand wound pilots watch and it is a good quality well made watch with a very good movement. All this at a very good price. So if you like a Steinhart then if you purchase it you will not be disappointed.
