I think the comparisons are getting a bit carried away. CW still represents very good value, bang per buck imo. Yes the prices are going up a bit but then again the quality is too and I still think the vfm is holding up albeit they are maybe competing in the territory of other brands such as Oris but still well short of Omega, Rolex even Bremont money.
The sales definitely haven't done CW any favours in terms of confusing the values of residuals. It would be better to slightly lower the initial RRP, when the sales inevitably come then the discounts can be less say 10-30% max and the average selling price and sales to CW could then be broadly similar but suffering less residual value erosion and irritation amongst the customer base.

Just had an email from CW towers, No 40 has been reserved in my name.
What is even better is the fact its No40 which matches my Brietling also a limted edition run of 50 which is also No 40. This was to celebrate 200 years of my former Regiment i used to serve in. This is one watch i will never part with
