My only V3 logo Trident is the Orange Crush. All of my other Tridents are V2 logos, which I prefer, by quite a large margin. However the V3 is certainly acceptable enough that I'm keeping the Orange Crush...

Wow – obviously a forum of watch aficionados :D

Thanks for all your responses and help!
A lot of things to consider but interesting how often the logo and polished surface occurs.
The logo does not bother me, but the polished surface being a scratch magnet is worrying.
Here is to hoping CW takes this on board and produces a brushed finish in the future.

Certainly in the market for one of the models but reluctant to buy on ebay if spending a lot so looks like a new one is on the cards :D

Thought worth a mention that there are models that provide a more subdued look. For instance nothing is polished on the C60 Titanium. I believe the C60 Chronograph and orange crush model have a brushed case and bezel. The Trident 300 has polished top lugs but a matte aluminum bezel (versus the polished ceramic bezel on the C60 600). And lastly, the C60 600 vintage has the polished lugs but offers a matte ceramic bezel versus the standard polished ceramic bezel.

Further note, many individuals have brushed cases / bracelets themselves or have taken it to a watch jeweler for a professional job. Not difficult or expensive to do but you will loose the ability to return under the 60/60 warranty.

I'm sure Kip or others will correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the 60/60 warranty only covers the movements not the bracelet or other bits so getting the bracelet brushed won't matter?

Correct, that's why I said you won't be able to return under the 60/60. Warranty portion should still be valid.

1. Thickness
2. Polished lugs and bracelet
3. 43mm case
4. No half-links for bracelet
5. Only 1 version with SH21
6. Weight
7. Poor lume (why not SuperLuminova BG W9?)

I'm really happy with my C60 COSC, but...i'm waiting 42mm Titanium C60 with SH21

And i like new logo ;)

As mentioned to you in another thread, that's the norm for day/date watches - the day disc has two languages on it. Don't know why you consider it to be a problem, as, apart from the brief changeover around midnight, it stays with whichever language you select...

Similar to setting the date. My process is:

Set time to 6pm - that way you can be 100% sure that it's outside the 9pm to 3am "window" where the date/day shouldn't be changed.

Push the crown back in, and pull it to the middle setting.

Turning the crown one way will set the date, turning the opposite direction will set the day of the week.

My usual process is to set the day and date to yesterday's day and date - i.e. today is Saturday the 12th, so set it to Friday the 11th. Make sure when changing the day you choose the English version. If you miss it just wind through the days of the week again 'til you get back to yesterday.

Then pull the crown out to the 2nd position and wind the hands past midday/midnight until the day and date change to the correct value. Continue on to the correct time, making sure to wind past 12 again if it's now after noon.

Simple, and won't take long until you get the hang of it and it becomes second nature.

To help visualise it, this is what an English/French day wheel looks like. When the movement changes the day around midnight, you can see that it rotates two positions to keep the selected language current. It's only when you manually adjust the day that you can rotate the disc in multiples of 1 position allowing you to "select" the language, which the movement the "remembers".

Old logo 38mm GMT pictured is easily the most beautiful watch in the flesh I've ever seen. It oozes quality and class. It makes my Tag Kirium feel like a cheap toy in comparison. If it was 40/41mm it would be perfection.

New logo 43mm COSC DAY/DATE - I Dislike new logo / type face. Gets covered when minute hand reaches 9 position and looks more fashion brand than quality watch brand.

I've got a 7 inch wrist and the 38mm is VERY SLIGHTLY too small and the 43mm is far too big.
I have a 38mm vintage thats only 1mm thinner than the GMT pictured but it looks like a ladies watch on a leather strap in the flesh.

I love the fact that when I had queries about the watch i'd ordered, Christopher Ward himself emailed me back within 12 hours.

I love free returns and 5 year warranty

I dislike Christopher Ward allowing individuals to buy massive amounts of sale stock to immediately re-sell at hugely inflated prices on eBay.

- 43mm Automatic is too tall and heavy. Needs to be 12mm or less and shed 25% of weight.
- 38mm is too small for a dive watch. It's more a women's size and this is not a women's watch. 40-41mm would be perfect.
- white dial needs hands and markers with black surrounds
- Christopher's full name on the dial in the worst location. Looks and feels like a fashion watch.
- The quartz version needs a ceramic bezel.
- Only white and black dials, need more colors and especially a nice (sunray) blue or a deep black non-wave.
- black on white date wheel on the black dial needs to be white on black
- too much of a dressy diver, needs more tool
- wavy dial and bezel copied from Omega and hands from Bremont. Needs a more unique design and own personality.

^^^Yes, but leaving all that aside?
Steve
The half minute which we daily devote to the winding-up of our watches is an exertion of labour almost insensible; yet, by the aid of a few wheels, its effect is spread over the whole twenty-four hours.
