Sector C80 lookout serial number 207

Post by agallagher »

Hi, I bought a C80 in 2009 - my first decent watch, if not to everyone's taste.
Unfortunately it was stolen recently (serial number 207). There weren't so many made, so it any of you see one for sale can you give me a heads up?
If #207 is for sale the seller won't have the papers..

Greetings,

Firstly welcome to the forum.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune, I hope but doubt that it turns up.

I would let CW know in case somebody returns it for some reason.

I hope the rest of your experiences with CW and the forum will be more pleasant!

Insurance?

Welcome to the forum and it's a shame it could not have been in more pleasant circumstances. As a fellow C80 owner I'm gutted for you.

As already mentioned, it will be worth letting CWL know in case it turns up with them for service or repair. Also, without trying to teach Grandmother to suck egg, worth a look out on ebay, Gumtree etc.

For the benefit of newer forum members and without intending to rub salt into the wound here's a C80

Finally, now that you're here, hope you stick around and have some fun.

Thanks - sent mail to CW already, and we'll see what turns up with the insurance. I couldn't see any for sale so difficult to judge a current value

Our resident eBay monitors have only seen one Sector this year. And it doesn't match your number. Sorry to hear your news, because that is a watch not easily replaced.

I'll stick it on my stolen CW watch list for reference when I do the eBay listings.

Sorry to hear your bad news, it is a lovely watch the Sector. Hopefully you had it insured and can maybe find a replacement at some point in the future.

Have requested a picture of the back, the seller should agree if it's a legit sale.

As for the price  hell if this sells for £400+ then I'm putting mine on for more as it has box and papers.

In the meantime, OP may want to take a look at the eBay photos.
Those marks on the bezel should be pretty tell tale signs.

I messaged and asked the same question. It does look like #207 to me. Looks like the OP needs to contact eBay.

Pleased we may have found it, but it hasn't been recovered yet and only time will tell as to how co-operative the seller may be, who may or may not have purchased stolen goods.
Current collection incl Citizen, G-Shock, Rolex, Seiko, Sinn & Tag.
