How's this for timekeeping?
I tend not to check the accuracy of my watches, as I usually only wear one for a day, and then by the time I return to it, it will have stopped.
I always had a suspicion that the Pepsi GMT was pretty good, so the other day I decided to check it.
At about 8am on Tuesday 6th May, I made the effort to set it correctly against my Braun radio watch.
And here we are this evening and in six and a half days it has gained 16 seconds. Pretty damned fine I reckon!

There's always time for one more.

Re: How's this for timekeeping?
I can believe that. The GMT movements in the CWs (ETA ?? - can't remember just now) must be well reg'd on leaving.
My orange blob GMT is probably the most accurate auto in my box (of 26).
Excellent timekeeping I'm thinking Paul...

That's excellent, Paul.
My GMT is very good, but not THAT good. You have a cracker there!

My GMT is also very accurate. Never tested it for more than a couple days but it's rarely off in that time.

pah - might be accurate - but your bezel is losing time rapidly
very impressive - my C20 is more accurate than the C50 Chrono - these watches are really rather remarkable...

All of my cw watches gain 8 sec a day very consistently when worn (have not tried them in different positions statically) are they regulated to be slightly fast as they are built or is this purely a coincidence.

Re: How's this for timekeeping?
My c60 was a very consistent +15 a day and then all of a sudden jumped up to +40. I sent it to Wera and her team and they regulated it. Now very consistent -8 this is within spec but nothing to get excited about.

Re: How's this for timekeeping?
Not a particularly good job but maybe the long distances didn't help. Think I would prefer +15 to -8secs. Frustrating for you.Lewis wrote:My c60 was a very consistent +15 a day and then all of a sudden jumped up to +40. I sent it to Wera and her team and they regulated it. Re: How's this for timekeeping?
Judging from my observations over a number of years CW do seem to err on the plus side, probably because the spec is slightly more plus oriented. Your consistent +8 secs is just a happy coincidence. 6 of my 7 have been in minus territory, sadly.chrisw wrote:All of my cw watches gain 8 sec a day very consistently when worn (have not tried them in different positions statically) are they regulated to be slightly fast as they are built or is this purely a coincidence.

Re: How's this for timekeeping?
I recently set my C60 COSC against my iPhone and then left it alone. After 2 weeks it was averaging -1.5sec/day. I just can't complain about that.

Re: How's this for timekeeping?
I agree I like the + side better. It is very frustrating to think that even after being regulated my c60 is at the edge of spec. Still a great watch at a great price. Although the new tissot seastar 1000 powermatic 80 has really caught my eye. It has a lot of the features I wish the c60 had but it is at a$1000 price tag.robinbarke wrote:Not a particularly good job but maybe the long distances didn't help.
