Just getting ready for my first purchase after a week away and I see some prices have been hiked by near on 10%.

Bit of a jaw dropper to say the least.

I was saving up for the C9 Harrison Auto, it was at $469 (with shipping to the US it totaled 541) and I was hoping some day there could be some sort of 10% discount or anything (university student budget)

It is $515 right now, if this pricing continues CWL has lost a would-be loyal customer

Guess I will be saving up for a Steinhart Marine II now

So not all bad.

If the policy of steady price increase will continue you can get what you paid for the watch if you decide to sell (it a few years!).
This is good if you have a CW and bad if you don’t… so get one now!

hrm. only on the UK site. there's no price break on the US site (still $365). if the price break was on the US site, it would be $240.

Just been on the site. Some steep price hikes not really in line with inflation or increases in manufacturing costs (surely existing stock).

The watches are still good value in terms of quality but I think CW with these hikes will certainly make people look more at Smith and Steinharts.

I dont think the brand will suffer though in the long term as I am sure other brands will put prices up soon.

Calm down chap. I don't think Mr R was being antagonistic! I think price rises are part of the same family as death and taxes- they are inevitable. On the flip side, there are other brands that do seem to be holding back a little but I have seen Steinhart hike their prices too.
